OUT! CAUGHT AND BOWLED! Wellington Masakadza strikes immediately on his return, and that is a really soft dismissal for Josh Inglis. Masakadza just lobs it on a fullish length, drifting it in towards middle. Inglis opts to go back to a pretty full ball and it just holds in the surface. Inglis ends up jabbing at it and chips it to the right of the bowler, who makes no mistake, grabbing it with both hands, and Australia are now 229/3.

OUT! TIMBER! There it is, the first breakthrough for Zimbabwe, and it's a peach of a delivery from Wellington Masakadza. This is slowed up, floated fuller and on off. The ball threatens to drift in with the angle but lands and turns away. Mitchell Marsh makes the mistake of going onto the back foot to a relatively full ball and is beaten past the outside edge. The ball goes on to hit the outside half of the off stump and the bails come off, ending the 130-run opening stand for Australia.

Zimbabwe have not been that bad with the ball, but it has been a batting masterclass from the Aussies. However, Sikandar Raza will be desperate to use this break and come up with some different plans to get back into this game, and that can only happen if they pick up wickets.

A quick chat - Australia's Nathan Ellis says that their focus is a combination of the upcoming 2027 World Cup and the current series. He adds that, with plenty coming up over the next year, the team is keeping an eye on the bigger picture while gathering as much information as possible about the facilities and players. Ellis says they are also focused on making improvements in the short term, while keeping their long-term plans in mind, with winning the series remaining the immediate objective. On the areas of improvement, Ellis shares that the way the wicket has played means patience will be important. He feels it is a good batting surface, but bowlers need to keep putting the ball in the right areas and trust that the rewards will eventually come, as they did in the opening game.

PITCH REPORT - Tino Mawoyo says that the weather is very pleasant and there's a strong wind which wasn't there in the last game. Adds that the boundaries are fairly big again and there's a lot more grass on this pitch, which is pitch number 5. Mentions that there's some moisture as well and it will aid the seamers early on. At the other end though, there are a few dry patches and the ball might keep a bit low, but overall, the pitch should be good for batting.
