Bazid Khan joins her and says that SSC is a surface that deals with a lot of bounce. He also spots some grass cover on the wicket. Bazid reckons that the short balls and bouncers will come into play, and the fast bowlers will want to bang it as hard as possible. Ends by saying that it is not that dry and he still expects runs here.

The skipper of Ireland - Lorcan Tucker says the pitch looks good and are happy to bat first. Expresses that despite losing two games, they have to think positively. Mathematically, there’s still a chance and that's how the group is approaching it.  Admits that losing Paul Stirling is a big blow but they have to adapt quickly, move forward, and continue competing as a unit. Informs that they have made two changes - Tim Tector and Josh Little are back in the side.

Oman's captain - Jatinder Singh says that since it is a new wicket, they want to bowl first. Adds that they are just trying to focus on small things. A late resurgence? Despite the recent turbulence in both camps, the historical edge remains with Ireland. While their recent losses haven't been as statistically heavy as Oman's, the departure of skipper Paul Stirling due to a tournament-ending knee injury has left a massive void at the top of the order.  With Lorcan Tucker stepping up to lead and uncapped Sam Topping joining the ranks, the Irish are in the midst of a sudden transition. They’ll be looking to tighten up their fielding after a lapse-heavy performance against Australia and lean on the vast experience of George Dockrell to guide them back to winning ways.

After a stinging 20-run loss to Sri Lanka in their opener and a tough outing against Australia, their batting unit is under immense scrutiny.
